Partners, Osler Corporate Group, present a paper at the upcoming Canadian Energy Law Foundation 4th East Coast Seminar being held in St.
Andrews by-the-Sea, New Brunswick. The presentation on Thursday, September 29
from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. considers developments in the royalties
applicable to petroleum produced from the Newfoundland and Labrador offshore
area, examines the legal nature of the royalty arrangements, considers
the Province’s Energy Plan and examines the instances where the Province,
through a Provincial Crown corporation, has acquired an ownership interest in a
project and the status of such an interest under the applicable royalty regime.
