More and more pension plans are investing in alternative asset classes as a method of diversifying their portfolios. However, investments in alternatives can raise complex legal, commercial, tax and pension issues, particularly when investments are made outside of Canada.

A team of experts will discuss the critical legal issues arising from some common cross-border alternative investment structures. Bill Corcoran, a tax lawyer from our New York office, will also be on  hand to answer your questions about the potential tax pitfalls of cross-border investing alternatives.
