We want our students to have a realistic experience of what it is like to practise law at a top firm like Osler, so we make every effort to expose our students to all aspects of our practice by involving them in the same type of challenging and interesting work enjoyed by our associates. By preparing research assignments, drafting memos and agreements, assisting on closings, attending client meetings and trials, and monitoring negotiations, students are able to determine (or confirm) what areas of practice most interest them.

And because it’s not all about work, our students and lawyers are encouraged to participate in our many, lively social functions, which may include casual dinners and get-togethers, sporting & cultural events, cooking classes, and Rock Band parties, among others. Held throughout the year, these events enable students to get acquainted with many different members of the firm.
