Avocat de premier plan au Canada, Adam codirige le groupe de pratique national sur la protection des renseignements personnels et la gestion de l’information d’Osler. Il a agi à titre de conseiller principal dans le cadre de nombreux mandats de très grande envergure en matière de protection des renseignements personnels au Canada. Il conseille des clients qui figurent dans le classement Fortune 500 relativement à des questions cruciales liées à la protection des données, à des initiatives en matière de conformité et à la gouvernance des données. Il représente régulièrement des clients dans le cadre d’enquêtes menées par les autorités de réglementation et de dossiers liés à l’atteinte à la sécurité.

Adam agit à titre de conseiller auprès de l’Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada et de l’Alliance de la publicité numérique du Canada. Il possède une vaste expérience du droit relatif au respect de la vie privée. Il conseille régulièrement des chefs de la protection des renseignements personnels, des conseillers juridiques d’entreprises et des professionnels de la conformité dans le secteur public, privé et à but non lucratif, ainsi que dans le secteur de la santé relativement à la gestion d’incidents de sécurité, aux enquêtes réglementaires liées au respect de la vie privée, à la conformité à la loi anti-pourriel, aux audits de sécurité et de la protection de la vie privée; aux pratiques et aux procédures; aux initiatives en matière de respect de la vie privée et aux ententes avec les fournisseurs de services liées aux renseignements personnels et aux flux transfrontaliers de données.

Adam a participé à un large éventail d’opérations liées aux technologies de l’information, y compris les acquisitions de technologies, l’obtention de licences, l’impartition et les ententes avec les fournisseurs de services, ainsi que les questions commerciales d’ordre général relatives aux activités commerciales sur Internet et dans un environnement électronique.

Adam prononce régulièrement des conférences portant sur des questions liées au respect de la vie privée. Il a été président de l’Association du Barreau de l’Ontario, section du respect de la vie privée. De plus, il a donné un cours sur les questions juridiques liées au commerce électronique dans le cadre du programme de MBA de la Schulich School of Business de l’Université York.

Reconnu en tant qu’innovateur dans ce domaine du droit en constante évolution, Adam est également le chef d’AccessPrivacy, notre service intégré d’information et de consultation en matière de gouvernance de données et de respect de la vie privée qui est complémentaire à notre pratique nationale de gestion des données et du respect de la vie privée. Cette offre intégrée inclut un forum sur le leadership éclairé regroupant des chefs de la protection des renseignements personnels et des conseillers juridiques principaux travaillant au sein de sociétés de premier plan au Canada.
