Biography

Elizabeth has a wide-ranging civil and commercial litigation practice, which focuses mainly on class actions, competition law, construction law, private international law, shareholder and contractual disputes. She appears regularly before the Superior Court of Québec and the Québec Court of Appeal. During her law studies, she received several academic awards, including for excellence in business and tax law. She also received the award for best litigator and for best tandem of litigators in the Pierre-Basile Mignault pleading contest (2002).

Notable Matters

  • She represents Les Pétroles Irving Inc. and Danfoss A/S in the context of class actions based on alleged contraventions to the Competition Act;
  • She acts for Imperial Tobacco Canada Limited in the context of its defence against two product liability class actions;
  • She represents Garage Technology Ventures Canada Limited et al. in the context of an oppression remedy;
  • She has acted for Gaz Métro Limited Partnership in connection with several matters, including the approval of a plan of arrangement, and liability suits;
  • She manages several construction litigation files;
  • She has acted in various interim, interlocutory and permanent injunctive proceedings, including with respect to breaches of non-competition and non-solicitation obligations;
