Nicole Dinaut is a Registered Patent Agent with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She practises in the Intellectual Property Department in the Toronto office, specializing in biotechnological, pharmaceutical and chemical matters. 

Nicole has experience in drafting and prosecution of patent applications, and advising clients with respect to the strategic development and management of their patent portfolios.  Nicole also provides technical support for pharmaceutical patent litigation.

Prior to joining Osler, Nicole worked at another leading, international law firm.  Before entering the legal field, she carried out postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  Nicole has extensive interdisciplinary research experience encompassing areas such as synthetic organic chemistry, enzyme kinetics, immunology, molecular biology, and drug design and development.
