Osler is #1 advisor to underwriters in the first half of 2018

Financial Post has announced its league table results for the first half of 2018, and Osler was ranked #1 as legal counsel to the underwriters for combined equity and debt offerings by value. Osler advised the underwriters on 14 completed transactions valued at $7.0 billion.  Osler was also ranked #2 as legal counsel to issuers, advising on 14 transactions that raised $10.8 billion in total. 

In addition to the Financial Post rankings, Osler is ranked as follows for the first half of 2018, based on deal value:

• #1 ranking from Thomson Reuters as counsel to the underwriters for equity offerings
• #1 ranking from Thomson Reuters as counsel to the underwriters for debt offerings
• #2 ranking from Bloomberg as counsel to the underwriters for corporate bonds

In addition to expertise in capital markets, Osler continues to lead the Canadian M&A rankings for legal advisors. For the first half of 2018, Osler was ranked #1 in the Canadian M&A league tables published by Thomson Reuters and Mergermarket.
