Osler has been named Canada’s “Corporate Firm of the Year” at the 2023 International Financial Law Review (IFLR) Americas Awards.
The awards, held in New York on May 18, honour the law firms, lawyers and in-house teams working on the most innovative cross-border deals. They also recognize legal innovation and showcase transactions that break new legal ground, set precedents and develop the legal environment for cross-border corporate finance.
IFLR calls Osler “a leading force in Canada’s cross-border deal market,” recognizing the firm for its M&A practice. It highlighted Osler’s work advising VAALCO Energy on its complex merger with Transglobe, a transaction that involved five separate exchange listings and assets and legal entities in several jurisdictions, as well as advising Boston Scientific Corporation in its purchase of Baylis Medical Company.
IFLR, a global publication, has been a trusted source for providing deal analysis, expert opinions and best practices in financial markets law to in-house counsel and practitioners since 1982.
