Osler is proud to partner with the Vancouver-based Praxis Spinal Cord Institute to provide legal support to the inaugural cohort of its brand-new accelerator program. The SCI Accelerate Program is a 12-week commercialization program geared towards early-stage healthcare companies that have ready-to-launch products designed to help transform the lives of people living with spinal cord injury (SCI).
The one-of-a-kind program was created to help post-prototype companies scale their innovations quickly. Startups that have been accepted into the program will receive a wide range of support including best-in-class mentorship, expertise and resources to provide them with the tools they need to scale and develop their innovation internationally — and help improve the overall quality of life of individuals with SCI through care- and cure-related treatments.
Osler’s contribution to the Praxis Spinal Cord Institute includes providing presentations on legal topics relevant to the Praxis ventures and one-on-one sessions with each of the companies in the program.
The Praxis Spinal Cord Institute is a Canadian-based not-for-profit organization that leads global collaboration in spinal cord injury research, innovation and care.
