BTI Consulting Group has named Osler as one of nine law firms with “Standout Collaboration” as identified by top legal decision makers. This global recognition was announced in BTI’s report, Law Firms with the Best Collaboration. In conducting research for the report, BTI interviewed more than 300 corporate counsel. Osler was the only Canadian national full-service business law firm identified in BTI’s survey results.
According to the report, “50% of top legal decision makers see lack of collaboration as their primary law firm’s biggest weakness — and is the primary reason they limit the work they give to these firms.”
Clients also told BTI that law firms that demonstrate collaborative skills distinguish themselves from other firms, and can provide a number of benefits: “collaborative law firms show [a] deep understanding of client needs across the team, are up to speed on all the issues whenever an attorney joins the team, and are all focused on the same overriding objective.”
“It’s an honour to receive this recognition from our clients,” says Shahir Guindi, Osler’s national Co-Chair. “We know that to serve our clients most effectively, we need to work together with the common goal of our clients’ success. It’s this practice that enables us to deliver a great client experience and build strong client relationships at all levels of our organization.”
The firm has created a number of resources to support collaboration efforts, including client reporting tools and comprehensive training that is available across the firm, beginning with our students and the onboarding of our associates.
Osler associates were also recognized by clients in BTI’s survey. As such, Osler was recently named by BTI as one of 38 firms with “Standout Associates.” “This honour also reflects our firm’s focus on exceptional client service delivery and our firm culture of mutual respect, collaboration and collegiality. We are proud that BTI has recognized our associates’ hard work and the quality of legal services they provide to our clients,” says Shahir.
BTI is the leading provider of strategic, client-based research to the legal community.
