Osler is committed to diversity and inclusion in its policies and practice. This includes fostering a firm-wide culture of equal opportunity, and sponsoring numerous initiatives and programs to empower the diverse members of the communities where we live and work. These efforts serve as a reminder of what we can accomplish together — and how much farther we can go.
In alignment with these initiatives, we have released our third annual Diversity Report, which provides details that show the depth and breadth of our firm-wide commitment to making diversity a priority.
Several noteworthy developments from the past year include:
- Contributing significant time and financial resources to helping Pro Bono Ontario fulfil its mandate to ensure access to justice to the many Ontarians who cannot afford legal services.
- Encouraging the next generation of diversity leaders among second-year law students through a new Diversity Scholarship Program.
- Helping newcomers to Canada succeed through mentorship under the auspices of the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council.
Our work will never be done until equality and inclusion are a reality and not just a goal.
