Osler Wins Restructuring Deal of the Year at IFLR Awards

The 7th Annual International Financial Law Review (IFLR) Americas Awards were held in New York City on March 29, 2012 and Osler won Restructuring Deal of the Year.

Osler acted for Angiotech Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and its Canadian and United States subsidiaries in connection with the recapitalization of US$250 million 7.75% senior subordinated notes through a plan of arrangement under the CCAA and ancillary proceedings under Chapter 15 of the United States Bankruptcy Code, as well as the private out-of-court exchange of Angiotech’s US$325 million senior floating rate notes for new senior floating rate notes. 

The Osler team was led by Edward Sellers and Marc Wasserman (Insolvency) and Jeremy Dacks (Litigation) with assistance from Don Gilchrist and Rob Hughes (Corporate), Michael Matheson (Financial Services) and Betsy Putnam (Litigation).
