Paul Litner, Chair of the Pensions and Benefits Department is the recipient of the Association of Canadian Pension Management’s Award for Exceptional Volunteerism. He is a long-time member of the association and of its national policy committee and has been a major contributor in the development of many of the association’s most significant policy positions, including “Back from the Brink: Securing the Future of Defined Benefit Pension Plans” and, more recently, the “ACPM Target Benefit Plan Paper.” He has also just concluded a two-year term as the chair of the national policy committee. Apart from his work with the ACPM, his contributions to Canada’s retirement income system include serving as a legal advisor to numerous plans, being a commentator on pension issues, and serving as a member of Ontario’s Financial Services Tribunal.
