Members of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP’s IP practice have been recognized in Managing Intellectual Property’s recently published online version of the 2015 IP Stars Handbook for Canada. This listing ranks the following lawyers among the top practitioners in their areas of expertise for the second year in a row:
- Glen Bloom for his work on both contentious and non-contentious copyright issues, as well as trade mark strategy and counselling, and general trade mark matters
- John Cotter for his work on contentious copyright issues, general trade mark matters, and trade mark enforcement and litigation
- Donna White for her work on a range of trade mark matters, including enforcement and litigation, prosecution, and strategy and counselling
- Brad White for his work on a range of patent-related matters, including patent licensing, litigation, prosecution, and strategy and counselling
These rankings further reinforce the results released early this year that position Osler as one of only two firms in the country listed as either Tier One or Tier Two for all five areas surveyed. As part of those earlier listings, Osler’s IP Practice was recognized in the top tier for copyright-related matters and in Tier Two for patent prosecution (an upgrade from 2014).
The Managing Intellectual Property’s IP Stars report is based on the findings from more than 1,000 surveys and interviews. The practitioners listed are recommended and confirmed by their peers and clients in each jurisdiction.
More information about these results can be found at the IP Stars website.
