International Tax Review recognizes Osler's national Tax Group with 4 awards

Sep 16, 2016

Osler is proud to announce that our national Tax Group has earned top honours in four categories of the International Tax Review’s Americas Tax Awards.

Our top-tier tax practice was recognized with the following four prestigious awards:

  • Canada Tax Court Firm of the Year
  • Americas Tax Litigation & Disputes Practice Leader of the Year (Al Meghji)
  • Canada Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year
  • Americas Energy Tax Deal of the Year (advising on tax aspects of TransCanada’s acquisition of Columbia Pipeline Group)

Osler was also honoured to be shortlisted in three other categories: National Tax Firm of the Year (the firm was the recipient of this award in 2015), Americas Tax Practice Leader of the Year (recognizing Monica Biringer), and Americas Transfer Pricing Practice Leader of the Year (recognizing Richard Tremblay and Blake Murray).

The 11th annual awards, announced September 15, 2016 in New York, attracted hundreds of submissions and nominations from leading law firms and in-house legal teams from 15 countries in North, South and Central America. This year marked the first time the ceremony presented awards to individual practice leaders in tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax and tax disputes.

Through an extensive research process, shortlisted firms and individuals were selected for bringing new thinking to solutions for their clients, and helping them achieve their objectives. To view a full list of honorees and award methodology, please visit International Tax Review.
