Financial Post has announced its corporate finance league table results for the first quarter of 2016, and Osler received a #1 ranking as legal counsel to the issuer for debt and equities combined by deal count (#2 by total deal value). Osler also ranked #1 as legal counsel to the issuer for debt offerings by deal count (#2 by total deal value) and #1 as legal counsel to the issuer for equity offerings by deal count (#4 by total deal value).
Osler advised on nine financings worth a total of $6.8 billion completed in the first three months of 2016. Our first quarter transaction experience includes acting for Hydro One, Kinross Gold, Corus Entertainment and various underwriters.
In addition to expertise in capital markets, Osler continues to lead the Canadian M&A rankings for legal advisors. For Q1 2016, Osler received #1 M&A rankings from Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg, and Mergermarket.
