Financial Post has announced its corporate finance league table results for the second quarter of 2016, and Osler received a #1 ranking as legal counsel to the issuer for debt and equities combined by deal value. Osler also ranked #1 as legal counsel to the issuer for debt offerings for both deal value and deal count, and #2 as legal counsel to the issuer for equity offerings by deal value.
Osler advised on seven financings worth a total of $9.57 billion completed in the second quarter of 2016. Our second quarter transaction experience includes acting for Hydro One, Emera, Bank of Nova Scotia and various underwriters.
In addition to expertise in capital markets, Osler continues to lead the Canadian M&A rankings for legal advisors. For the first half of 2016, Osler received #1 M&A rankings from Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg, and Mergermarket.
