Osler is proud to announce that partner Monica Biringer has been named a 2017 Lexpert Zenith Award recipient for her exceptional leadership skills and accomplishments in supporting the advancement of women in the legal profession. The 2017 Lexpert Zenith Awards: Celebrating Women in Law, announced June 22, recognize those who have actively shown strong leadership as advocates for women in law, and who have been influential as mentors for female legal professionals.
Monica, currently a Co-Chair of Osler’s National Tax Group, is responsible for overseeing more than 60 professionals and has increasingly become involved in firm management. Recognized by her colleagues as an exceptional role model and a strategic thinker, Monica is also an accomplished legal professional. Her practice includes all aspects of corporate income tax with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. Monica regularly speaks at tax conferences, is past Governor of the Canadian Tax Foundation, has taught at the Bar Admission Course and is on the Canadian Institute editorial board for M&A tax.
