Heavy rainfall has caused flooding in many regions of Québec, forcing thousands of individuals to flee their homes and their communities. In support of those affected by the floods, Osler lawyers and staff are making donations to the Canadian Red Cross Spring Floods Appeal.
The Red Cross is helping thousands of people in need in Québec, which includes support such as relocating people to hotels and providing them with food vouchers. According to the Red Cross’s website, more than 150 Red Cross volunteers are mobilized daily, working in shifts to support 12 information centres in flood-affected areas. Additional volunteers are on standby.
Donations to the Red Cross Spring Floods Appeal will help meet the needs of those who have been most affected by the floods. These needs may include shelter, food, basic home repairs, children's needs and personal services.
