Awarded annually to members of the Québec bar for the past 10 years, the prestigious Advocatus Emeritus designation recognizes lawyers in the province for their outstanding professional contributions or their exceptional career path. Recipients are deemed to represent the very best of lawyering in Québec and reinforce the image and reputation of legal professionals in the province.
Shahir has more than 25 years of experience and is a leading M&A, private equity and corporate finance lawyer in the Canadian market. Prior to being named Osler’s National Co-Chair, he served as the Managing Partner of the firm’s Montréal office for seven years. Shahir has received significant industry recognition and is among the most recognized individuals in the fields in which he practises.
Shahir and the other Advocatus Emeritus 2017 recipients will be honoured at a special ceremony in Montréal on November 21, 2017.
