Dale Ponder receives Law Alumni Award of Distinction from Western Law

Osler congratulates National Co-Chair Dale Ponder on being named a recipient of a Law Alumni Award of Distinction from Western Law, Western University’s law school. Dale earned the Ivan Rand Alumni Award, which recognizes her significant contribution to Western Law and to the alumni community. Osler is proud to be a purple sponsor of the awards, which were presented at a reception in Toronto on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.

Dale was recognized as “a generous supporter of the Faculty of Law’s highest priorities, and as an engaged teacher and distinguished guest speaker at the school,” she has “given generously of her time and means to mentor a new generation of lawyers,” according to the Western Alumni website.

Dale is the immediate past National Managing Partner and Chief Executive partner for the firm, and her practice background has focused on M&A, securities regulation and corporate governance. She has represented Canadian market leaders in various industry sectors with cross-border and international business interests, including the financial services, mining, consumer and pension plan sectors. She has spoken extensively on leadership in professional services industries and has been recognized repeatedly as one of WXN’s Top 100 Powerful Women in Canada (and was a 2017 Top 100 Hall of Fame inductee) and as one of the Top 25 by Canada’s Women of Influence organization.
