A recent MoneyTree Canada report by PwC and CB Insights revealed that VC-backed companies in Canada raised a record-breaking $3.3 billion in investment funding in 2017, up from $3.1 billion the previous year. Osler advised on 133 deals last year, representing 40% of the 333 total deals noted in the report. The average deal size increased by 31% from 2016, and FinTech and Artificial Intelligence both saw strong funding levels.
