Osler is proud to have acted on three of Lexpert’s Top 10 Business Decisions of 2017, including the top business decision on the list – BP Canada Energy v. Canada, 2017 FCA 61, which the publication calls “an especially triumphant moment for business.”
Osler represented parties involved in three of the top four decisions on Lexpert’s Top 10 List:

Osler represented BP Canada Energy at the Federal Court of Appeal.
2. Lizotte v. Aviva Insurance, 2016 SCC 52; Alberta v. University of Calgary, 2016 SCC 53
Osler represented interveners the Canadian Bar Association and the Federation of Law Societies of Canada before the Supreme Court of Canada.
3. Douez v. Facebook, 2017 SCC 33
Osler represented Facebook, Inc., at all stages of this proceeding, including at the Supreme Court of Canada.
Osler also acted for Chevron in Yaiguaje v. Chevron Corp., 2017 ONCA 827, a case identified as a runner-up to Lexpert’s Top 10 List.
