Osler welcomes new tax litigation partner Louis Tassé to our Montréal office

Louis Tassé

Nov 5, 2018

Osler is pleased to welcome Louis Tassé as a partner in our Taxation Group. Louis will lead our Montréal tax disputes team, offering our clients doing business in Québec access to experienced tax litigation counsel.

With 28 years of experience, Louis brings deep and varied expertise in representing clients in tax disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency, the Québec Ministry of Revenue and before the courts — in both French and English. His track record of reported cases involving both income and sales taxes in the Québec courts, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Tax Court of Canada, and his early career experience with Justice Canada and Revenue Canada, mean that he is well-versed in controversies affecting corporate and personal taxpayers. His writing on tax disputes has been quoted by the Tax Court of Canada and the Québec Court.

In today’s changing litigation landscape, access to strategic tax law counsel is imperative to mitigate the impact of tax controversies. Osler has the premier tax litigation practice in Canada and is counsel on numerous significant tax cases. We are dedicated to having the right resources in place to meet our clients’ evolving needs. The addition of Louis to our tax litigation team at Osler further strengthens our practice in Québec and our national platform.
