Rachel St. John recognized by Global Data Review 40 Under 40

Sep 26, 2018

Osler is pleased to announce that Rachel St. John, an associate in the firm’s Privacy and Data Management Group, has been listed in the inaugural Global Data Review 40 Under 40 2018, which profiles the individuals “who represent the best of the upcoming generation of data lawyers.” Rachel was the only Canadian listed by the publication.

Rachel advises clients on a broad range of privacy, data security and information-management matters, including information security-breach responses, cross-border data transfers, online and mobile marketing, behavioural tracking, employee monitoring and internal investigations, payment card systems, outsourcing transactions, health information privacy, data governance and strategic management of information assets.

Global Data Review (GDR) is the only publication that analyzes the law and regulation of the use and trade of data around the world. In determining its final 40 Under 40 list, GDR analyzed hundreds of submissions from law firms asking for their “best and brightest,” including information about their case work, their practice and background.

Osler has the largest team of practitioners who focus on privacy and data management in Canada. Our team comprises acknowledged leaders in the privacy arena. We provide advice on the increasingly complex rules and the broad range of privacy and data-governance issues arising from the collection, use, disclosure and management of personal information.
