May Cheng recognized as one of the Top 250 Women in IP by IP STARS 2019

May 24, 2019

Osler is pleased to announce that May Cheng has been recognized as one of the Top 250 Women in IP by Managing Intellectual Property’s IP STARS 2019 legal directory. This global recognition honours the top female practitioners in IP who have “performed exceptionally for their clients and firms in the past year,” according to the website. This is the third year in a row that May has been recognized; she is only one of 13 in Canada to receive the honour this year.

The IP STARS’ research process covers 80 jurisdictions, including the most active for IP protection, exploitation and enforcement. Conducted over a six-month period, the research is based on findings from global surveys, interviews and client feedback.

May is a Certified Specialist in Intellectual Property Law (Trade-mark/Copyright) and a partner in Osler’s Intellectual Property Group. She has more than 20 years of experience in advising clients on all aspects of intellectual property protection and enforcement, including branding strategy, licensing and anti-counterfeiting.

More information about the recognition can be found on IP STARS’ website.
