Osler is pleased to announce that partner Melanie Gaston is the exclusive winner of the Lexology Client Choice Awards 2019 for Canada: Alberta.
Melanie, a partner in Osler’s Litigation Group, focuses on complex commercial litigation and arbitration, with a particular emphasis on construction, energy and securities disputes and bankruptcy and insolvency matters. She also advises clients on matters involving insurance law, class actions, product liability and commercial landlord disputes.
The Client Choice Awards recognize “those law firms and partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client care they provide and the quality of their service,” which includes going “above and beyond the other players in the market,” according to the publication’s website. Awards recipients are selected based on extensive research, individual assessments and interviews with corporate counsel worldwide. Recipients are chosen based on criteria that includes quality of legal advice, commercial awareness, industry knowledge, strategic thinking, billing transparency, tailored fee structures, value for money, responsiveness, effective communication, clarity of documentation, sharing of expertise, appropriate staffing, project management, use of technology, loyalty and ethics.
