Osler’s Financial Services Group recognized as “Banking and Finance Team of the Year” by inaugural IFLR1000 Canada Awards

Osler congratulates the Financial Services Group on its recognition as “Banking and Finance Team of the Year” by the inaugural International Financial Law Review (IFLR) Canada Awards. The honour recognizes the team’s ability to work on the most innovative deals.

In addition to receiving the “Banking and Finance Team of the Year” award, the Financial Services Group was also recognized for its work on the $1.9 billion Wataynikaneyap Power Transmission Project, which was awarded “Canada Banking and Finance Deal of the Year.”

Osler acted as counsel to the syndicate of lenders in connection with the Wataynikaneyap Power Transmission Project. The Osler team was led by Christopher Bennett (Financial Services) and Rocco Sebastiano (Commercial) and includes Jacob Sadikman (Commercial), Richard King (Regulatory, Environmental, Aboriginal and Land), Adrian Hartog, Josh Disenhouse (Real Estate), Ryan Hayes and Arshia Asif (Banking and Financial Services).
