Riyaz Dattu appointed to the Chapter 10 Trade Remedies Roster under CUSMA

Osler is pleased to announce that partner Riyaz Dattu, Head of the firm’s International Trade and Investment Law Group, was reappointed on July 2, 2020, to the Trade Remedies Roster of Panelists under the Canada-United States-Mexico Free Trade Agreement (CUSMA), to resolve bilateral trade disputes. His reappointment is for a period of 10 years from the date of his previous appointment in February 2018 by the Government of Canada, under Chapter 19 of the North American Free Trade Agreement.

Riyaz has over 30 years of experience in arbitration and trade litigation matters. He also provides counsel to multinational and domestic businesses on international trade policy and investment matters, international trade strategies and market-access concerns. A significant part of Riyaz’s practice focuses on assisting clients operating overseas that have to contend with political risks, anti-corruption and corporate social responsibility obligations.
