Osler has lost a friend, colleague and trusted leader in the legal profession with the sudden passing of Robert Housman on October 7.
Rob joined the firm as a partner in 2017 and led our Calgary Real Estate Practice Group to new heights over the intervening years. His loyal client following, many of whom deeply valued his friendship, are a testament to the kind of person Rob was inside and outside of the firm.
Aside from being an outstanding lawyer and legal professional, an avid fisherman and skier, Rob was first and foremost a family man. He was a devoted father to his three daughters, Eliza, Meredith and Rosalie. Together with his wife Crisilda, Rob was deeply involved in their lives, and rightfully proud of their many successes.
Robert will be remembered for his outstanding legal abilities. He was a mentor to many and will be profoundly missed.
A memorial service will be held October 21.
