Osler grows commercial real estate development and transactional capabilities
Osler is pleased to welcome Savvas Kotsopoulos as a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Group in Toronto. Savvas brings nearly two decades of experience in commercial real estate transactions including developments, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and joint ventures. He advises a broad range of clients including institutional owners/developers, domestic and foreign inbound private investment groups and property/asset managers across a broad spectrum of real estate asset classes, most frequently on office, industrial, retail, multi-family, hotels and mixed-use developments. Along with his transactional practice, Savvas is well-versed in commercial leasing and represents tenants and landlords in complex lease negotiations. Savvas has also developed a specialty in representing domestic and international retailers in connection with all aspects of establishing and undertaking their business in Canada.

- Calgary Municipal Land Corporation on major development projects in Calgary including the Event Centre, 9th Avenue Parkade and Platform Innovation Centre, BMO Convention Centre Expansion, Arts Commons Transformation, and several East Village Projects.
- Boardwalk REIT on land assembly projects in connection with two future development sites in British Columbia for the development of multi-residential apartment complexes.
