While Toronto and Vancouver traditionally have been leading Canadian cities in sustainable tech, Calgary is also well on its way, says Osler’s Chad Bayne, partner and Co-Chair, Emerging and High Growth Companies Group (EHG) Practice, in a video interview with Sustainable PropTech.
“This will be an interesting development over the next few years as the Calgary economy retools,” says Chad.
Osler’s cross-disciplinary approach has been key to meeting client needs and to building EHG’s business. For example, Chad says Osler’s EHG Group has been able to leverage the expertise of the firm’s real estate practice when working with clients in this sector. The same can be said for Osler’s construction practice. “These practices do not typically work with startups, but their knowledge and expertise provide strong support for our clients,” says Chad.
