Osler is proud to announce that our top-tier Intellectual Property Group has had another strong showing in the 2022 edition of the World Trademark Review 1000: The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals (WTR 1000). Six of Osler’s IP lawyers were individually recognized across all four categories: “Individuals: enforcement and litigation”; “Individuals: prosecution and strategy”; “Individuals: anti-counterfeiting”; and “Transactions,” with four Osler lawyers receiving gold rankings. Osler also earned silver band rankings in both the “Firms” and “Firms: anti-counterfeiting” categories for the fifth straight year.
The following Osler lawyers earned individual rankings:
- Donna White – gold band in “prosecution and strategy” for five years in a row.
- May Cheng – gold band in “enforcement and litigation” for a fourth consecutive year; silver band in “anti-counterfeiting”.
- John Cotter – gold band in “enforcement and litigation” for a second consecutive year; silver band in “anti-counterfeiting”.
- Kelly Moffatt – gold band in “prosecution and strategy” for a third consecutive year; recognized in “Transactions”.
- Barry Fong – silver band in “prosecution and strategy” for three years in a row.
- Lee Webster – recognized in “Transactions”.

The WTR 1000 2022 recognition follows J. Bradley White’s continued Band 1 ranking for Intellectual Property Litigation in Chambers Canada and Chambers Global and a trio of Osler IP lawyers being recognized as Managing IP Rising Stars in Canada for 2021 — Faylene Lunn, Lillian Wallace and Sydney Young. Osler’s IP excellence also has been further acknowledged by IAM Patent 1000: The World's Leading Patent Professionals. Osler’s IP team is also shortlisted for an unprecedented number of awards at the Managing Intellectual Property Americas Awards to be held in New York City on April 7.
