Osler is proud to announce that we have been ranked the #1 Canadian legal advisor in Infralogic’s 2022 full-year Rankings and Trend Report. Infralogic is an analytical platform that tracks investments and deals in the energy and infrastructure sectors worldwide.
The firm led the Canadian legal advisor league tables by deal value, at US$6.14 billion ($2.7 billion more than the next closest firm). Osler also tied for first by deal count, advising on 13 transactions, up from eight last year.
Osler advised on several major deals for transit, renewable energy and social infrastructure. These include the Rolling Stock, Systems, Operation and Maintenance contract for the Ontario Line subway in Toronto, expansion of GO Transit’s Lakeshore West corridor, the Thunder Bay Correctional Complex, the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, and project financing for various wind farm projects, among other notable transactions across the sectors.
Canada saw 67 total deals in the sector in 2022, down from 78 in 2021. Osler advised on almost one in five deals that closed last year.
