In September 2026, BGO, on behalf of an institutional investor, acquired the remaining 50% interest in Pivot, a 361-unit purpose-built rental community located in North York, Toronto.
The acquisition of the remaining interest in Pivot consolidated the investor’s ownership of the transit-oriented residential asset to 100%. Together, the transactions expand BGO’s purpose-built residential footprint in Canada through the addition of high-quality rental housing assets in two key Canadian markets.
Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP acted as legal counsel in connection with the acquisition of Pivot with a team that included Savvas Kotsopoulos, Alexei Kovalev, Dakota Secours (Real Estate), Shuli Rodal (Competition/Antitrust and Foreign Investment), Allan Wells (Employment and Labour) and Evan Barz (Municipal, Land Use Planning and Development).
