On August 1, 2025, a privately owned company controlled by Ivan Schneeberg, David Fortier and John Young (IDJ) completed its acquisition of Boat Rocker Studios. The newly private Boat Rocker Studios retains its award-winning Scripted, Unscripted and Kids & Family divisions together with its global distribution business, brand and franchise group and creative partnerships arm. Its services span production, distribution and brand and franchise management.
Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP advised IDJ with a team consisting of Manny Pressman, Kai Sheffield, Emery White and Shira Dveris (Corporate), Patrick Marley and Irene Kang (Tax), Joyce Bernasek (Financial Services), Kelly Moffat (Commercial) and Josh Disenhouse (Real Estate).
