On December 8, 2016, Microsoft Corporation ("Microsoft") completed its acquisition of Linkedin Corporation ("LinkedIn"). Osler was Canadian counsel to Microsoft Corporation in connection with the US$26.2 billion acquisition of LinkedIn Corporation, and was also counsel to LinkedIn Corporation in connection with the Canadian Competition Act advice and services in respect of the transaction. To date, this is the largest acquisition in Microsoft’s history.
