On May 11, 2017, Wealthsimple announced the completion of its Series B investment of $50 million (US$37 million) from the Power Financial Corporation group of companies, bringing their total investment in Wealthsimple to $100 million (US$74 million) to date. Wealthsimple plans to use the new injection of capital to continue its expansion in Canada and the United States.

Founded in 2014, Wealthsimple is Canada’s largest and most popular digital wealth manager.
