We currently have an opening for a Legal Assistant in our Toronto office. Working in a 4:1 share supporting the practices of 1 Partner, 2 Associates and 1 Law Clerk in the Real Estate Department. We are looking for an energetic individual with the ability to produce high volumes of quality work under tight deadlines. This position requires an excellent multi-tasker with strong legal technology skills to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have excellent client service, organizational and practice management skills.
- Working in support of a real estate practice
- This position will support one partner, two associates, and one law clerk in the real estate department
- Top notch communication, organizational and technical expertise are crucial for this position
- Must be a self-starter who is detail oriented, show strong initiative and display an interest in developing his/her knowledge of various practice areas
- Strong client organizational skills and practice management abilities
Education and Experience
This position requires a Community College Certificate in a Legal Secretarial Assistant program or equivalent experience working in a Legal Secretarial Assistant role; strong technical skills (MS Office suite), be a team player, have a positive attitude, professional image, and possess a minimum of five years of Real Estate experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be acceptable.
