Inkbox is a company that manufactures semi-permanent tattoos. To help combat COVID-19, the company has shifted part of its production to produce personal protection (PPE) equipment for local health care workers. On April 14, 2020, Inbox announced that it had donated 100 face shields, approved by Health Canada, to Trillium Health Partners. The company will produce 1,000 face shields per week during April and it hopes to produce 10,000 per week starting in May.
In a recent article in BlogTO, the company stated that it started development on its PPE equipment in March 2020 and will keep PPE in their research and development budget for the rest of the year.
In addition to producing face shields, Inkbox is also developing hand sanitizer, cloth masks and semi-permeable wound dressings.
