Many Osler clients are looking for meaningful ways to contribute to the fight against COVID-19.
ResQ is a company that created a platform that helps restaurants streamline their repairs and maintenance. On March 30, 2020, it launched a new initiative, ResQ Helps, to help raise funds to send meals from local restaurants to frontline workers and people affected by COVID-19. After initial support from the tech and venture capital community, ResQ has raised over $50,000, which will help to deliver more than 5,000 meals. It has since widened the initiative to receive donations from the general public. Within days of launching this initiative, ResQ has partnered with 25 restaurants, 10 hospitals and has delivered more than 850 meals directly to front line healthcare workers and hospital cleaning staff across the GTA.
According to an article in BetaKit, the meals are being delivered to hospitals by repair technicians and contractors that typically use the ResQ platform — and the startup hopes to expand the initiative even further to support other segments and frontline workers, including law enforcement, firefighters, and essential service workers.
Osler has joined this initiative as a sponsor and is proud to support ResQ’s efforts.
