The Confidence Gap
Osler’s Michelle Lally, Chair of Osler’s Competition Law/Foreign Investment Group, is proud to be a part of this year’s Ryerson Women in Leadership Conference. Aimed at female students and young professionals, the conference provides an opportunity to hear from, and network with, industry leaders.
In The Confidence Gap panel, Michelle joins Charyl Galpin, Head of BMO Nesbitt Burns, and moderator Elena Cherney, Bureau Chief of The Wall Street Journal Canada, to explore the argument that women are underrepresented in senior roles not just because of personal choice or institutional bias, but because of being held back by a lack of confidence. While offering tips and tools for overcoming the supposed confidence deficit, the panellists will also look at longer-term fixes to these types of challenges.
