Navigating DC legal risks
For several years now legal experts have been discussing potential risks regarding DC plans – for example, fees, fee disclosure, investment performance, conflicts, and communications, to name a few. We have seen DC litigation evolving in the United States, but so far not much in Canada. What are the key legal risks with DC pension plans that sponsors and administrators need to navigate? At the same time, how can DC plan members be assisted with their retirement savings goals? This session will explore DC litigation trends in the United States and possible DC legal risks in Canada. It will also explore how plan sponsors and administrators can assist members in attaining their retirement savings goals
