Overview

We are delighted that Mayor John Tory will kick off our next #MoveTheDial event! Please join us on Thursday June 15th for a novel media training & networking session for Women Founders & Leaders in Technology, joined by the media, investors and conference producers.

Raquel Urtasun, leading AI researcher and University of Toronto associate professor, now Head of Uber Advanced Technologies Group will briefly share her story of bringing Uber ATG to Canada.

Shari Graydon, Canada's foremost enterprise in the promotion of women in media and award-winning author and women's advocate, founder of Informed Opinions, will:

  • Offer concrete strategies for how you can build your profile and increase your impact;
  • Share research-informed views on why women need to own their expertise more publicly (and what happens when they do);
  • Share Informed Opinions' new initiative, ExpertWomen.ca, a national online resource designed to make it easier for journalists and conference programmers to find qualified women like you.

The #MoveTheDial movement aims to make Canada one of the world’s most conducive eco-systems to attract, retain and grow women in technology. The purpose of this event is to provide women in technology with the foundation to amplify their voices and foster connections with each other, journalists, and conference producers.

This event is hosted by Osler, The City of Toronto and Informed Opinions, all deeply committed to the promotion of women’s leadership.
