Data Litigation Roundtable Edition
For our Data Litigation Roundtable, Adam Kardash was joined by Partners from Osler’s specialized privacy litigation team in a discussion of key themes and takeaways from recent jurisprudence – relevant for both litigators and in-house privacy professionals.
Mark Gelowitz, Rob Carson and Emily MacKinnon offer insights on various privacy issues recently considered by courts across Canada. Discussion topics included courts’ willingness to refuse certification in data misuse class actions, as well as recent judicial consideration of the privacy torts of intrusion upon seclusion and public disclosure of private facts.
