On June 28, 2018, ApplyBoard announced that it has raised $17 million in its Series A Financing. The round was led by Artiman Ventures, with follow-on investments from early investors 500 Startups, Candou Ventures, Think+, and others.

ApplyBoard plans to use the funding towards growing the company and further developing its platform. ApplyBoard's broader goal is to make education accessible to students around the world, regardless of their nationality or location.

ApplyBoard is a Waterloo-based software platform that streamlines postsecondary applications for international students looking to study in North America. To date, ApplyBoard has partnered with 750 high schools, colleges, and universities across North America.
