On April 10, 2023, BAI Communications (BAI) confirmed it had entered into an agreement to sell its Canadian business, consisting primarily of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) cellular and Wi-Fi networks to Rogers Communications. Rogers plans to build out a 5G network throughout the entire subway system. 

BAI Communications is a world leader in shared communications infrastructure. BAI has been a long-standing partner of the TTC to deliver connectivity to the Toronto subway and following the closing of the transaction, it will continue to service transit systems around the world with state-of-the-art networks in major cities like New York, London and Hong Kong.

Rogers Communications is a Canadian-based telecommunication and media company that engages in wireless voice and data telecommunications, cable services, internet and telephone services.
