In May 2021, EllisDon Capital Inc. was named the successful proponent for the $612 million Phase 1 Burnaby Hospital Redevelopment Project. Phase 1 of the project includes the construction of a new six storey, 83 bed pavilion with underground parking and the expansion of the emergency department, operating and procedure rooms and other support areas. The pavilion will include a maternity and labour unit, a neonatal intensive care unit, a medical inpatient unit and a new inpatient mental health and substance use unit. The Burnaby Hospital redevelopment project is one of the largest healthcare investments made in British Columbia.

Burnaby Hospital is a community hospital which provides acute and emergency care, as well as critical care, general and internal medicine, surgery, neonatal intensive care, palliative care, adult mental health and substance use, ambulatory care, and other outpatient services.

EllisDon Capital Inc. is a member of the EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare consortium and is an employee-owned construction services company.
