On July 27, 2020, Fable announced a $2 million Seed financing round led by Disruption Ventures. The financing will help Fable grow its team, build strategic partnerships, and develop new products.

Fable tests organizations’ websites, apps and software to ensure that they’re accessible to the widest possible range of users, including those with visual and physical disabilities. To do that, Fable has built a community of “testers” who are  directly involved in the design process. These technologies include screen readers for users who are blind; magnification tools for those with low vision; and switch or eye-tracking systems for persons with disabilities that affect mobility.

Based in Toronto, Disruption seeks to provide early-stage capital for female founders, with the goal of being “the starting point for the best female founders,” and building companies with women entrepreneurs.

Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP advised Fable with a team consisting of Chad Bayne, Andrew Irwin and Shalu Atwal (Emerging & High Growth Companies).
