On December 3, 2020, WSP announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire Golder Associates Corporation for $1.5 billion. The acquisition will create the leading global environmental consulting firm and positions WSP’s strategic environment platform to capitalize on environmental, social and governance trends. The transaction also aligns with WSP’s strategic plan and is anticipated to contribute strategic growth and value creation. The acquisition will be funded through $310 million in private placements which includes $260 million by GIC and $50 million from BCI, and the remaining $1.2 billion through new bank debt.
